Mechanicville High School, RPI College

 

Bill Kalbaugh coached at Mechanicville HS for five years and RPI for thirty years. His Mechanicville squads won two Section II crowns. His ”Whiz Kids” won 30 straight games. His RPI teams won seven league titles and qualified for the NCAA tournament four times. As a member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches he served on many committees. He was awarded the Howard Schoenfield Sportsmanship Award by the College Basketball Officials Association. He was honored as Dean of New York State College Basketball Coaches in 1983.
