Wilbur Crisp, 2002

Legendary Little Falls coach Wilber Crisp was an early basketball pioneer and innovator. From 1926-1959 his teams won almost 400 games, a NY State championship in 1929-30, 3 Iroquois League and a Section 3 championship. He was famous for inventions including wall-size basketball timers, basketball blinders, rebound/tap-in basket, adjustable baskets, backward-moving game clock, improved score book, and personal foul flip card indicators. He was inducted into the Greater Utica Hall of Fame, and the National High School Sports Hall of Fame. The Little Falls HS gym is named for Crisp.
