Potsdam State

 

Coach Stan Cohen is in his 57th year as a college basketball coach. He has been associated with over 1000 wins -head coach Canton ATC men’s team (238) and women’s team(79) and for the past 41 years assistant coach at Potsdam State (691). He took the Canton ATC men’s team to national prominence with several top 20 national rankings. At Potsdam State, he helped the Bears to many league, regional and national awards including two NCAA III National Championships in 1981 and 1986. He was Co-Captain of Hobart College's most successful basketball team in 1956. He is a member of the 2006 Potsdam State Sports Hall of Fame and the 2011 SUNY Canton Hall of Fame. His greatest legacy is his dedication to the game of basketball and his special relationship with all his players and fellow coaches.
