Coach Rich Castellano has over 500 wins in nearly 29 years of coaching the Northport High School Lady Tigers. His teams have won 21 league championships, 10 Suffolk County titles and 6 Long Island championships. Coach Castellano has recently been inducted to the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame. He has won numerous Daily News and Long Island Newsday Coach of the Year honors and has coached the Long Island Scholastic Girls Empire State Team for 3 years. He has served as President of the Suffolk County Women's Basketball Coaches Association for over 20 years. He helped to create the Suffolk Top 100 basketball showcase. He started the annual Long Island Basketball Exceptional Senior Games and has created scholarship awards for underclassmen. Coach Castellano has been teaching math at Northport High School for 33 years.
