Coach Michele Tidick led her teams to 404 wins over her thirty-two year career. Her teams’ 65% winning percentage led to six League and eight Sectional crowns. Her 1984-85 Johnson City team won the Class B NYSPHSAA title. She was a twenty-eight year Empire State Games volunteer serving as a coach, Regional and State Chairperson. Coach Tidick was the first woman to serve as President of the Basketball Coaches Association of NY. She was the league chairperson for women’s basketball for seventeen years. She created and directed the first summer league for girls basketball in the Southern Tier. Michele is also a member of the Section 4 Hall of Fame.
