Coach Palano achieved a 544 win and 202 loss record in his 37 year coaching career, which concluded in 1989. He coached his teams to 17 League titles and 8Manhattan Cup Playoff Championships. Coach Palano also coached baseball and cross county, as well as serving as athletic director at Bishop Timon –St. Jude High School. He is a member of both the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and the Bishop Timon Hall of Fame. Other honors Coach Palano received include State Coach of the Year in 1988 and a nomination for the National Coach of the Year.
