Coach Larry Byrnes coached for twenty-one years a Collegiate School and twelve years at

Cathedral Prep, both schools in NYC. Coach Byrnes guided his teams to 577 wins. At

Collegiate School his teams won 461 games in 21 years and 11 of these teams were either league

champions or co-champions. In his years at Collegiate, Larry’s teams won over 75% of their

games. He was named Coach of the Year six times by the NY Daily News. Coach Byrnes is in

the Ivy Prep Hall of Fame in NYC. Coach Byrnes served as the Basketball Coordinator for

NYSAIS basketball championships, and was a referee for many years. Larry has coached the

NYC team in the Youth Games. He has worked at and ran basketball camps for over 30 years,

most notably Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp
