John has been a head coach for 46 years and is presently at Sacred Heart H.S. He has coached his teams to over 500 victories, fourteen Yonkers City championships, eight Section I titles and two Regional crowns. He is a charter member of the Westchester Basketball Coaches Association and former President. He was a member of IAABO Board # 52. In 1976 he coached the U.S. All Stars in the McDonalds Classic (Kentucky Derby festival) in Louisville, Kentucky. John is a member of the following Sports Halls of Fame: Westchester County, City of Yonkers and Sacred Heart HS.
