In Coach Lauro's thirty year coaching career his teams achieved over 425 wins. His teams won fourteen League and ten Sectional championships. He led four of his teams to NYSPHSAA state crowns. He led Pace University to post-season play four straight years. He coached both the Hudson Valley Scholastic and Open women's teams in the Empire State Games. He was named Coach of the Year by the league eleven times and was New York State Coach of the Year in 1985. Coach Lauro served as a League Representative and the Section 9 Girls Basketball Chairman.
