Olean High School, Section 6

 

Coach Jeff Anastasia has won over 525 games in 29 years at Olean High School, with an 80% winning percentage.  He led his teams to 18 League Championships, 11 Sectional Titles, 5 Final Four appearances and 1 State Championship.  He has won many Coach of the Year Awards and was selected as the 2008 BCANY New Balance N.Y.S. Boys Coach of the Year.  From 2007 to 2015 his teams won 8 out of 9 Sectional Championships.  He is a member of the Section 6 Committee and Big 30 Committee, as well as a speaker at clinics and camps.  He received the City of Olean Service to Youth Award and was awarded the NYSPHSAA Section VI Coaches Sportsmanship Award.  He is a member of the Cattaraugus County Hall of Fame and the Olean High School Wall of Fame.  He continues to be a dedicated teacher and coach.
