Irvington High School, Section 1

 

Coach Gina Maher has recorded 500 wins during thirty-four years of coaching, with her teams winning more than 70 percent of their games. She has coached her teams to 14 League Championships, seven Section 1 titles, three Regional crowns, and 1 State and Federation Championship. Coach Maher has served as a Representative to the Section Committee for twenty-five years, organized and administers local summer leagues for high school girls, and has received numerous honors, including induction into the Westchester County Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2007 the Irvington School District named the Irvington High School gym in her honor.
