Boys State Tournament Director

 

A career educator, coach, and administrator, Doug Kenyon became Director of the NYSPHSAA Boys Basketball Championships in 1990, and 2014 marks 25 years of his leadership. He concurrently was Director of the State Federation Tournament of Champions until 2011. He worked unsparingly to enhance and enrich the experiences of Tournament participants and spectators, endeavoring to assure that each Tournament was special. His vision and energy produced sustained success, growth, and accolades for the events. As a long-time Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Glens Falls High School, he worked to enhance and broaden pupil opportunities. Earlier in his career, he was a teacher and varsity basketball coach at Hudson Falls, claiming over 100 wins during his tenure.
