Coach Tom Downey enjoyed a terrific 28 year career at Canisteo CSD, Dansville CSD, and Livonia CSD.  He led his teams to 437 wins at a 74% winning percentage.  His teams won 4 Section V titles and 15 Livingston County titles. He is a member of the Dansville CSD and Livonia CSD Halls of Fame. He was named Section V Coach of the Year nine times. This award is now titled “The Tom Downey Section V Coach of the Year Award.” He was inducted into the Section V Basketball Hall of Fame, along with the Rochester Walk of Fame at Frontier Field.  The gym at Livonia is named the Tom Downey Gymnasium.
