Coach Steve Kmack’s career spanned 36 years, with an overall record of 373-99 (79%).  Steve served 13 years as Assistant Varsity Coach at Potsdam State, top assistant on the ’81 National Championship Team. He also spent 7 years as the Head J.V. Coach amassing a 91-14 record that included a 21-0 mark (’84). Steve was a successful coach and educator at Potsdam High School.  In 16 years, his teams won 8 Divisional, 8 Sectional, 4 Overall Section X Titles and made 3 Final 4 appearances.  Steve was honored with many accolades, including multiple “Coach of the Year” awards.  Coach Kmack is a well-respected defensive tactician with over 40 years as a guest speaker and clinician at area schools, colleges and basketball camps.
