Carlyle Gainey, 2012

Section 11, Wyandanch High School

 

Coach Carlyle Gainey has directed his teams to over 400 wins in twenty-nine years. He led his teams to 2 State Championships in addition to multiple league crowns and several Regional titles. Coach Gainey worked camps and was active in the Suffolk County Coaches Association. He received many Coach of the Year Awards and other honors. In 2012, the Wyandanch School District named the boy’s side of the gym in his honor. He is a member of his Wilson HS, Florence, SC Hall of Fame.
