Coach Anthony Alvaro recorded 467 wins at several schools, making him the third winningest coach in Section 5. He had a 66% winning percentage. His teams won nine league and seven Section 5 championships. He received many Coach of the Year awards as well as Sportsmanship and Community Service awards. He is a member of the Section 5 Hall of Fame. The gym at Romulus CS is named in his honor. He was an exceptional teacher and coach.
