Al Knapp, 2007

Brookfield HS, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill HS, Section 3

 

Coach Al Knapp is the winningest active coach and currently second overall in Section 3. In twenty-nine years he led his teams toover 500 wins. He has a 74% winning percentage. While coaching Brookfield HS, he led them to the State Title in 1983. Al has operated a College Exposure Shoot-Out each Fall as well as numerous summer camps. He also organizes a Golf Tournament to benefit Coaches vs. Cancer. Al is a friend, peer, mentor, and confidant to an innumerable number of Section 3 coaches. He has won many Coach of the Year awards and other honors throughout his career.
